Bye Bye Duplicate Contacts

Tell me if this sounds familiar?  “Hi Mr. Smith let me pull up your account……I show you are at 123 Main Street is that right?  (Wait a second, why are there five Mr. Smith’s with the same address, phone, email, etc.?!?!!?  What in the heck is going on, which record do I put this new reservation in?  Which record will I use next time?  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!)

The often imitated but never duplicated programming team at RezStream has created a feature that allows you to merge duplicate contact records.  Once you have found a duplicate contact go into the guest profile you wish to keep as the main record.  Within this main guest profile you will then merge any other duplicates into this main record.  Items that determine if a record could potentially be a duplicate are associated with an exact match of the email address or phone number or a partial match of some combination that includes the guest name along with either the city, state or zip code.

This knowledgebase article below will help walk you through the step by step instructions on how to merge your duplicate contacts.  YIPEE!
