About Shady Acre Inn & Suites

Shady Acre Inn & Suites is located in the tourist destination of Branson, Missouri. They have been open for over 30 years and have since rebranded from a motel to an inn & suites. They are a small property with 16 rooms and a 2-bedroom house that they rent.

"Happy People Stay Here" is their motto, and they refer to their long-term guests as their Gnomies. Many of those guests have been staying there since the beginning, and their children and grandchildren are now guests.

We asked Veloris Juneman, owner of Shady Acres Inn & Suites, a few questions about their experience with rezStream and how it has helped grow their business. Here is what she had to say:

Question 1 - What challenges or needs did you face that led you to a solution like rezStream?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: When my husband and I took over the business in 2012, we had no internet presence at all. Reservations were all made over the phone or walk in, and everything was on paper. There was an antiquated computer reservation program, but nobody trusted it, so we did everything twice – computer and paper. Many mistakes were made, and it was a reservation nightmare. Once we got a website built and were using OTA’s it became apparent we had to do something quickly!

Question 2 - What does your selection process and the criteria look like when choosing a provider?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: A friend in the business pointed us to rezStream and they made it super easy to “try it on and see how it fits.” Once we saw how easy the system was to navigate and how it could do all the hard work for us, it was a no-brainer!

Question 3 - What specific reasons lead you to choosing rezStream over the competition?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: rezStream is easy to navigate, easy to teach, and very user friendly. Cloud based software is a world changer for a small business because we don’t have to be tied down to an office chair. We can take reservations anywhere! rezStream makes the transition process easy and seamless. In a world where customer service is severely lacking, rezStream is on top of it, every time.

Question 4 - What results/ROI have you seen since implementing our product/solution, please be as specific as you can?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: Because rezStream integrates so easily with the OTA’s and guests could also make reservations from our website, our occupancy doubled within the first year. Using the software features we were able to fill in rooms during the week that would typically remain empty.

Question 5 - Does rezStream continue to make upgrades to their system to keep up with the current needs of Innkeepers?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: Yes! rezStream understand the needs of our industry and are continually rolling out new products to make things easier for us. After Covid things got really crazy for us. The texting system they integrated made all the difference in the world when it came to communicating with our guests and no contact check-in processes. We were also able to close our office earlier and eliminate some payroll hours due to the texting system.

Question 6 - Will you continue to use rezStream services and why?

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: rezStream has continued to demonstrate excellent customer service, excellent listening skills, and an excellent product that makes our staff and customers happy!

Question 7 - What would you rate rezStream on a scale of one to ten – one being the least satisfied and ten being the most satisfied

Shady Acres Inn & Suites: I would rate rezStream a 10. Their team is always available to answer questions, fix technical issues, and they’re forward thinkers. They’re willing to listen and work to make improvements to make our jobs easier.
