Back in April 2021, rezStream shared Google’s announcement about offering properties the ability to display direct rates and availability for free using Google Free Booking Links. The Google Hotels platform is one of many metasearch engines allowing guests to search property availability and book direct, without requiring any referral commissions or paid budget to maintain. Metasearch engines have the unique ability to search from multiple search engines at once. They provide all the information on one page making it easier for guests to book a destination of their choosing. This is an especially helpful new feature for hotels and lodging businesses that do not bid on keywords or pay for sponsored Google Display ads to rank their listings higher in search queries.
