New Letter Codes and Booking Engine Enhancement

Happy holidays!  Unwrap your rezStream “gift” with these two new improvements:

  • New letter codes to print tags and identify the credit card used on letters.
  • More intuitive and easier guest interface on the Booking Engine 2-week calendar.

New Letter Codes

Print those tags!

Some of you have requested the ability to print Tags on letters and this release brings that capability. Throughout our system, we give priority to the tags that you’ve flagged as “Important” and those tags appear on people and reservations on the dashboard, the occupancy map, and in your search results. And of course, all tags are displayed when viewing the full person or reservation. In keeping with that mantra, we have 4 new tags that allow you to render either the Important Tags or All Tags for a person or a reservation.

As shown below, the Tags will be rendered on letters with the same background/foreground colors that you see in rezStream Cloud:

Credit Card Letter Codes

Another common request we’ve had is to show the summary information (credit card type and last 4 digits) about the Credit Card that a guest has used to confirm their reservation.

To handle this scenario, we’ve introduced 2 new Letter Codes as shown below.

Intuitive Navigation on the Booking Engine 2-week Calendar

We’ve heard from some of you that the 2-week availability calendar on the Booking Engine is a bit hard for guests to navigate. The navigation is at the very top and disconnected from the calendar itself. In addition to that, it only provides buttons that move the calendar forward or back a “page” at a time, and this can make it hard for guests to find the exact window they were looking for.

The old interface looking something like this (depending on your specific options/configuration):

So, we’ve reworked the navigation options and simplified the user interface (UI) which we think should make things more intuitive and easier for your guests. We modified the interface to move the navigation buttons directly into the header of the calendar where a user would expect to find them as seen below:

In addition to moving the overall navigation UI, we have

  • Added buttons that allow the guest to move forward or back one day at a time in order to find the EXACT window of time in which they will be staying.
  • Enhanced the display of the dates in the header to remove extra text and make things more readable at a glance.
  • Removed extraneous buttons that were no longer necessary with the new changes.

We hope you enjoy the latest updates and thanks for using rezStream!
