OTA Rate Synchronization & Yield Management
We’ve been working to improve the seamless experience and performance of managing complex rate systems and automatically synchronizing them with your Online Travel Agent (OTA) channels via MyAllocator and Booking.com.
With these new enhancements, we’ve improved a variety of scenarios that we’ve run across.
- Yield management rules are now applied consistently across all your booking channels, including within the PMS, the Booking Engine, Google Hotels, and the OTAs (via MyAllocator and Booking.com).
- Because yield management rules are based on a sliding window going from today into the future, each new day within the business time zone will trigger relevant updates for yield management rules and re-synchronize affected rates across your booking channels, ensuring your current and future rates are always accurate.
- Configuring (creating, updating, and deleting) yield management rules will trigger rate updates and, if needed, re-synchronize the affected rates to all your booking channels.
- Changing availability (for example, making new reservations or canceling reservations) may impact the applicability of yield management rules for specific dates and, if applicable, this will automatically trigger rate synchronizations for those dates.
- As always, we’ve put a focus on performance so most updates should propagate to all booking channels within a few seconds of a triggering event.
So, what does this mean for me?
- If you are already using Yield Management in rezStream Cloud, the system will ensure rate parity across all your booking channels (if you so choose).
- If you are not using Yield Management yet, you may want to revisit the Yield Management feature and implement a tool that can help capture more reservations and optimize your revenue!
